After many hours over the last few weeks of sacrificing our time in a noble effort to discover every possible way to wipe to this encounter, we finally took down Lich King 25H tonight in a display of amazing gameplay.

Despite the stacking raid buff and limited attempts, this guy is still probably the hardest fight Blizzard has ever put together, and a terrific achievement for the guild. Several  weeks and hundreds of attempts went into this, and there's several people aside from the 25 slotted who put in many hours of work. We were able to kill it on our 3rd pull this week. I feel that’s something to be proud of and couldn’t think of a better group of people to enjoy spending our raid time with. You could argue that real progression didn't happen for the first month or so of attempts, as we banged our heads against the first 3 to 4 minutes of the 15 minute encounter. We like most guild had our fair share of disconnects, Trees getting grounded, Canada going to Volcano Land, Canada Celebrating every Holiday known to man, and Canada having Canadian ISP issues. But we don’t regret it and it's been incredibly satisfying to have all the work pay off. We would like to thank all the new recruits who have made this possible and would like to especially thank all the members who have stayed with us, through thick and thin, to get this down tonight.

On that note, I'd also like to congratulate Stephynnie on winning Invincible!

EDIT: Pie chart to reflect our overall attempts on LK.

1. Raid stack + spirit soak
2. ? ? ?
3. Profit

Big thanks to Superpenguin who spent the past few weeks learning the encounter with us but was not present for the first kill. We're also actively recruiting multiple classes. If you're an exceptional player and want to push 25man heroic LK, check out the application forum.

We're coming around to that time of every new content patch where raid forces start to divide upon whether or not hardmodes, wiping to defile, or farming consumables are worth it or not.

We think they are.

If your guild is one of those who wants to just farm the EZmodes and balks at HM LK, and you're looking for a little bit more, then we want to hear from you. If you've cleared previous raid content stretching back past WotLK, then we really want to hear from you. If you've only beaten ToC 25 and have your ICC hardmode experience limited to heroic lootship, then fuck off. We don't want you, LFG is your home.

We have been a consistent raiding guild for over 4 years, starting way back with Molten Core. Our ascension came when we achieved top 25 US during AQ40 (and a world first druid loot!). We're always looking to beat what the game has to offer with pre-nerf clears of all TBC content such as Gruul, Black Temple and Sunwell.  In Wrath, we've achieved all realm firsts in a timely US top 100 fashion.

Since our last update, we've completed Glory of the Icecrown Raider 25(US #12/World #50) and currently rank as US #64 for ICC 25 progression.  We've killed HM LK on 10s, as well as making progression on 25s.  We're looking for apps to join our team as full-time members for the rest of ICC and into Cata.

What sets us apart from the other 11/12 HM guilds out there?
ICC rankings: We were US #12 to complete Glory of the Icecrown Raider.  We clear all hardmodes every week on our first raid night and have all attempts remaining for work on LK.

LK progression: We've beaten LK HM on 10s (US #69).  We work on LK 25 hardmode every week, instead of simply clearing and calling it.

Raiding costs covered: We sell Kingslayer titles to the server and split the profits among guild members, covering all consumable and raiding expenses.

Raid time for trials: Trials will be given priority when creating the raid roster, instead of being benched for progression.  We maintain a small roster and we recruit for full-time spots, not backup positions. Our trial process is 3-4 weeks and we don’t judge based on a single night’s performance.

Fair loot system: You will be able to earn DKP at the same rate as normal raiders, which prevents favoritism present in some loot council systems.  We’re not recruiting people who are motivated by loot, but it is nice to get some shiny new purple pixels from time to time.  We also have different pools of DKP for each tier of content to discourage hoarding.

Flexible Attendance Policy: Although we expect our raiders to maintain high attendance over months and years, we know that there are always RL things that come up.  We have worked around school assignments, exams, deployments, weddings and vacations in order to keep our solid core of raiders happy in-game and out.  That said, we expect incredible performance and effort on your part to make it onto our core roster.

Stability:  The guild is over five years old, formed the second day of release.  We've been the top guild on the server since BC and have every intention of continuing to raid in Cataclysm.  We have dealt with the ups and downs of progression over the years and have consistently ranked in the US top 100.  We pride ourselves on our mature and no-drama environment which has allowed us to make the most of our 4-day raiding schedule.

Grats to everyone on taking LK down and especially those that helped us throughout the instance but were not present for the kill.

We're looking to strengthen our roster as we move on to 25-Heroic. Take a look at our recruitment section to see what classes we're interested in.
