After many hours over the last few weeks of sacrificing our time in a noble effort to discover every possible way to wipe to this encounter, we finally took down Lich King 25H tonight in a display of amazing gameplay.
Despite the stacking raid buff and limited attempts, this guy is still probably the hardest fight Blizzard has ever put together, and a terrific achievement for the guild. Several weeks and hundreds of attempts went into this, and there's several people aside from the 25 slotted who put in many hours of work. We were able to kill it on our 3rd pull this week. I feel that’s something to be proud of and couldn’t think of a better group of people to enjoy spending our raid time with. You could argue that real progression didn't happen for the first month or so of attempts, as we banged our heads against the first 3 to 4 minutes of the 15 minute encounter. We like most guild had our fair share of disconnects, Trees getting grounded, Canada going to Volcano Land, Canada Celebrating every Holiday known to man, and Canada having Canadian ISP issues. But we don’t regret it and it's been incredibly satisfying to have all the work pay off. We would like to thank all the new recruits who have made this possible and would like to especially thank all the members who have stayed with us, through thick and thin, to get this down tonight.
On that note, I'd also like to congratulate Stephynnie on winning Invincible!
EDIT: Pie chart to reflect our overall attempts on LK.
